Iran short films win at Serbia filmfest

Iranian animation ‘Light Sight’ and short documentary ‘Passing the Fog’ have won at the FreeNetWorld filmfest, Serbia.

Short animation ‘Light Sight’ directed by Seyyed Moslem Tabatabaei and Amirali Mirderikvand’s ‘Passing the Fog’ won awards among six Iranian movies presented at the event.

‘Light Sight’ took the best animation award and the prize for the best documentary went to ‘Passing the Fog’.

The seven-minute animation ‘Light Sight’ is the story of a character that tries to get out of a room to reach the light that has lit the room.

The six-minute documentary ‘Passing the Fog’ is the tale of an old man who has to take his handicapped daughter to a nearby village everyday to study.

FreeNetWorld is an international film festival which aims to support and promote the creativity of film and authors from all over the world, primarily through the internet that is the basic kind of communication in the future, the official website of the festival wrote.  

The festival was held on December 15-18 in the Serbia city of Niš.
